Marjorie Diephouse, co-founder of Marlandale, LLC, is not your typical accountant. She believes in the proactive approach to accounting instead of the reactive approach so many of her peers follow. Marjorie works one on one with her clients on a consistent basis, utilizing their business’s current financial information, not information that is a year old. Because of this approach her clients can make immediate adjustments in their businesses when something isn’t working, which is very important in this economy.
Marlandale,LLC is focused on serving business clients throughout the DFW Metroplex, Texas, Michigan and Florida with their accounting, tax and technology needs. With all these services offered by Marlandale, their clients find it quick and easy to fulfill their business needs while working with just one company. As a child Marjorie always liked working with numbers and by the time she turned 12 years old knew she wanted to be C.P.A. As a 1990 graduate of Stetson University located in DeLand, Florida, Marjorie completed two internships with Coopers and Lybrand, a big eight accounting firm at the time. After graduation, Marjorie moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan to begin her career working for IDS Tax and Business Services (American Express), but soon realized that her talents were not going to be utilized well under these employers and at the age of 23 opened her own accounting and tax service. During her 11 years in Grand Rapids she focused not only on her business development but also giving back to the community by actively participating in the Grand Rapid’s Jaycees. Most notably she served as Treasurer for the 1996 First of America Golf Classic. This annual Senior PGA Tour stop was one of the Jaycees most successful charity fundraiser and active annual community project.
In 2001 Marjorie relocated to Texas with her partner and family while still running her business in Grand Rapids. Marjorie has one son Carson who plays baseball. Since the 2006 sale of the Grand Rapids business, she has been completely focused on the Texas business market, providing her unique proactive tax and accounting services and adding technology services to her business offerings through her business partner. Over the last few years she has served as President of BNI Vista Ridge Chapter (2002) and Treasurer for WBO from 2006-2008. As a 22 year tax season veteran, she is licensed in Texas, Michigan and Florida.
